Hi,
Does anyone have any data on how high a 308 bullet flies above the horizontal at 600 yards?
Thanks
Heather

I presume 155grn and whatever the manufacturer quotes for standard target rifle loads.

25-30 feet is what I normally work on. I will be firing up a windows machine in a bit and can confirm that unless someone else shows with something :)

A very quick look at my I pod ballistic program shows between 80 and 100 inches at 600 yards.

Not the 30 inch diameter that someone wants to build a tube range then.....

There is a club around the Glos area that has recently put one in. I'll do some searching but my memory of the constraints was such that 100 m was max not just down to actual elevation required for 308 due to flight path of bullet but cone of fire tolerances for safety cert purposes...ie ricochet risk off pipe.
Don't laugh...it's not my field of expertise...
