I was round at Dromia's Emporium today and was mildly impressed with the latest piece of kit he had just finished putting together.

It's a thermostatic PID device that keeps the temperature of your lead pot at a constant level without the usual uppie downie variations one normally gets when casting.

He does'nt half get some Gucci gear does Droomie. tongueout

Proportional - Integral - Derivative. It's a very versatile control algorithm which can be applied to many processes.

In the right of the top photograph is the units analogue, combined starting handle and maintenance tool.

Very handy if the PID needs resetting or reprogramming. O:-)
