I've just formed a Historic/Classic arms section at one of my clubs, it meets on a Thursday morning 9.30-12.30.

We shoot on our indoor 25 yard range and although although primarily a shooting section but we will also be having talks, bring and show sessions, competitions as well as workshops on handloading and casting for such firearms.

Five of us turned out and we started with a discussion of the firearms we had with us. Joe has just rejoined the club so had a bagful of rifles with him as he needed to put is loads over the chronograph to ensure that the MV and ME is within the range restrictions. All centre fire calibres have to do this.

So we had a G98AZ, Steyr M95 long rifle, Moisin Nagant M44, Long Lee, .303" Martini Enfield, 7mm OVS Boer Mauser and a 310 Cadet.

We then went onto the range and had a blast. Two of our members, father and son, are relatively new to shooting having just passed their probationary period and are still awaiting their FAC to come through so they enjoyed the opportunity to see some different firearms.

Here are some photographs:

Some of the rifles.

Nah, size is huge! I've not been able to see all the pics yet as I get bored waiting for them to appear and wander off elsewhere........
