Hi every one, I am new to shooting
i am wanting to get into the sport and have been for a long time, I have been doing arthery

I will be going to my first Probationary training day at my local club
on the 21st of this month i am really looking forward to this

after this training day i have to do a 6 month Probationary membership and after this i will be able to become a full member and then be able to apply for my FAC

I have one question at my local club a part of the training day is a small theory test.
Can i ask has anyone done one?

I have read a lot about the amount of ammunition you can have in possession of
and how much you can buy

I will only be interested in .22LR and .223

Welcome to the forum, are you in the UK? Ammunition holding seems to vary depending on where you are in the country, you may be able to ask for hold 1200/buy 1000 in .22LR or maybe only 600/500. For .223 I would say ask for 600/500 however you will need to justify it and some I know started off with hold 300/buy 200

White Boy did it about 3 years ago, I remember going over the use of target rifle sights with him and vernier scales before he sat the exam and he ended up explaining it to the adjudicator... I think the rest was safety based stuff on the firing point.

If you are going to reload the .223 it will be quite important to decide what sort of rifle you are going for, allow for 50 shots at a meeting as a minimum and as far as what to ask for, well 600Hold/500 buy regardless of if you end up buying it or not. Two rifles in this house are wildcats, the ammunition simply does not exist, we are still licensed to buy 500 with each

Nice rifles. The LA-R15 could be a good 1000 yard rifle correctly specified. Get is chambered in .223 Wylde and you can feed it with milsurp for the occasional mad morning at the range.
