son's licence came through

My son's licence came through with all the guns we asked for but on the licence it says that He cannot buy anything until He is 18 (14 at the momment) I take it That I have to buy them? if so do I take my own licence with me when we go shopping?

If it only stops him BUYING then what about GIVEN or LOANED - both are wordings seen on the back of the FAC form...
It may be worth clarifying the position - as otherwise he's just paid for a 5 year duration FAC wich in real terms is not valid until it only has 12 months of validity left on it!!!
A nice little earner for someone....
