The lever on my Lee Auto Prime has just snapped. It was less than a year old.

What is the name of the tool that uses Lee primer trays and has a brass handle. Shooter360 or something similar?

What were you reloading, 4.5 inch? my Lee has lasted best part of twenty years.

Afraid I cant help you with the alternative maker but I had the same thing happen twice with mine. I would suggest you contact Lee or the uk stockists (Midway) and they will send you a free replacement part. I contacted both and got two freebies within a week. Must admit that they kept breaking when I was using PPU primers as they were really tight in the pockets but since changing to Federal 210m's I haven't had a problem. I also made a new arm from stainless steel.

You might want to have a look at Lee's Ergo Prime, it seems a bit more robust.

...or get the broken part replaced by Lee -send them an email

Dropping some Lee parts off at Hannams tomorrow on the way to Bisley - inc. one of the hand primer linkages - but from a very very old primer unit

I have managed to break a couple. But they are cheap enough so its not a problem really.

Mine has survived some tens of thousands of CCI primers; used to do all my pistol stuff with it. Maybe just a stress fracture.

Mine is also still going strong, it is only used for .303 these days and has primed countless thousands of cases.

Good morning,

take a look at 21stcenturyshooting, that may be the company making the priming tool you are thinking of, i bought one for the newer lee trays and was not impressed, works okish but not worth the outlay, apparently they work best with the older style tray. Much prefer RCBS.
