Hi all,

I received my first FAC in the post this morning I only applied for 1 22RF with mod, which is what I have been granted.

my question is, I was expecting a more detailed description of what I can get i.e. single shot, bolt action etc., and was surprised to see that it only says .22RF rifle.

I assume then that this does not limit what I can buy? (although it would be a bit foolish to buy something other than a .22 target rifle as that is what it is for.)

Yes you can buy any legal rifle in .22RF.

That is how it should be unless you specify type.

The type will be entered on your certificate at time of purchase along with the other details required in Table 1 of your FAC.

everyone, yes it is a good feeling, and I have seen a lot I like , but not much I can afford.

do the FEO's check up on you if you don't buy anything within a certain time?

Your FAC is valid for five years and it is probably best to have something in place when you go for your renewal.

What I want to know is can anyone actually wait that long...........

Congratulations, no, you don't need to fill the slot immediately, but I bet you can't wait?

If you get desparate, buy something you can afford, there are also lots of club members who will be more than willing to lend you a gun until you get sorted.

Most gun shops have always got 'yesterdays model' which someone has traded in for the latest model to try and buy a few points. Truth is, if you can shoot, you can shoot with a gas pipe!
