Do you regret selling a gun?

Here's the problem -

Just got a Section 1 shotgun slot on my FAC, mainly for PSG - hooray!

However, funds are short for the proposed Benelli Supernova.

Should I part ex my Webley and Scott 20b semi auto 820 - or hang on to it? It was my first gun and still works well and is in good condition.

I suppose the reason I am asking is that I often see people regretting selling their guns on forums, and in any case, the part ex price paid by a rfd is obviously alot less than a new one would cost - if I wanted one again....and you never know when it may be handy.

What would you do?

I've regretted losing everyone I've sold and I'm a RFD! :G

Keep it if you can, just by discussing it you obviously don't want to loose it.

My wife used to say about my gun collecting "you can't have everything".

To which my reply was, "true, but I can try".

Excellent advice so far.

Thanks

Just what I wanted to hear -

Now, does anyone have any expert negotiating tactics?

If you don't want to sell your gun, good decision.

As for negotiating, have you thought about selling your body?

Cash money is the best negotiating tool I know.

That is why they are trying to get rid of it.

I sold a scoped 6.5mm Carcano back in 1963 for $19.95 that is worth a fortune now!

In 2000 I gave away - yes that is right gave away an Enfield Enforcer with matching numbers and a genuine matching Pecar scope - gave it to a School for their target shooting club - back then, they were not worth a great deal - oh how I wish I hadn't!!
