More toys from the US

Could the Obama administration actually about to do something that will be a positive step for shooters outwith the US? Are we about to see a relaxation of ITAR? Here's hoping.

"The Commerce list also names 36 countries deemed “trusted parties,” in which arms may be exported to with minimal government oversight. These countries include NATO members such as the U.K. and Turkey, as well as non-NATO allies in Latin America and Asia, according to WSJ"
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Forget about Obama AND ANYTHING POSITIVE TO DO WITH GUNS FOR THE LAW ABIDING CITIZEN.iF HE GETS BACK IN HE PLANS TO DISARM THE usa BY FAIR MEANS OR - MORE LIKELY - FOUL.

hE IS ALREADy ReSPONSIBLE FOR TWO DEATHS THANKS TO project FAST AND furious..(dammit caps, ah well...)

Obama plans to sign up to the UN charter that will disarm all law abiding citizens whilst leaving every gang, thug and despot regime fully armed,..now WHY woould he want that eh! Typical dictator.

Any reference to friendly countries will ralte to US government arms exports to other regimes, not Brownells selling a few stocks to punters in the UK. DO not place ANY trust in the Obama regime..

Depending on the composition of the Supreme Court, he doesn't stand a chance outlawing gun ownership in America. Someone will take it to court and because it's a constitutional issue it'll go up the chain to be heard there.

Also, accusing individual Presidents of having blood on their hands is a bit pointless. I don't know off the top of my head but I doubt there are many (if any) Presidents who don't have blood on their hands though authorising various expeditions overseas!

Guys: Forget the UN, in the United States the UN doesn't matter. To make an amendment or to change the US Constitution requires the agreement of 37 or more States, given that there is more than 13 pro gun States in the US it isn't going to happen anytime soon. If the US government goes after anything it will be ammunition because that is the easier target.

As for any relaxation of ITAR, don't hold your breath on it, there are enough anti gun eejits out there who pay significant amounts of money both to the Obama campaign and to the Democratic party and as we all know, money talks.
