Excellent interview, worth a listen. Good advice on self defence, provided you stay in the US especially in states like Florida, not so good here in the UK though.
.
Unlikely that I would ever have to resort to violence to protect myself, but if I ever had to I always remember the case of the Tesco Guard who was shot during a robbery, he subsequently got a hold of one of the robbers gun and shot him dead.
Guard kills gun raider 15 March 2003
The poor guy was arrested, presumably warned he may be charged with murder or manslaughter, bailed and had to wait nearly six months before he was told that the charge was dropped.

Think about how he must have felt during that time. Why the long wait?
I think that if you ever used serious methods to protect yourself, you would at least lose you FAC.

Ayoob is reckoned THE expert on firearms and the law..he is a serving police officer...
His advice on the legal ramifications after a shooting are excellent. There are so many little things that an idiot, anto gun pro felon jury will get you on - even if you are in the right.
Wouldlove to do a couple of his courses just for the legal stuff.
As for the guard story..a six month wait was totally out of order...then again the law relating to self defence (what self defence :P ) in the UK is a joke..That guard should never have seen the inside of a jail.
