Just setting myself up to start reloading .308W.

Any recommendations as to brand/type of die to buy or, probably more important, which to avoid!

I prefer Redding dies - but also have RCBS and Lee ones - some folk will shout to avoid Lee - but I don't have any issues with them

What discipline(s) and rifle(s) do you plan to load for?
Do you intend to Full Length size, or Neck size?
Do you intend to neck-turn to uniform the neck wall thickness?
Do you already have a press? If so is it an arbor press or a conventional/threaded one?

Discipline: Target shooting although I stalk when the opportunities arise.
Rifle: Mainly my Remmy 700 SPS Varmint AISC (although in the process of looking for an .303 enfield Mk? so will also reload for that)
Intention was to neck size, although not intending to neck turn at this stage.
Yeah, Lee classic press.

+1 for Forster although I tend to prefer Reddings bullet seater because the micrometer markings are MUCH clearer.

I also prefer their Bushing neck sizers so that I can decide neck tension rather than accept whatever the die serves up.

Agreed, the Forster bushings are a fair bit cheaper than Redding as well

Forster Bushing Bump die or Redding Comp Neck die or Lee Collet Neck die.
Forster Ultra Seater or Redding Comp Seater.
Redding body die for when you need to FL.
Universal decapper from any manufacturer.
