So, come the morrow...
We've just run a patch through our AIA 7.62x39 Enfield carbine to clear out the oil from the barrel and then checked over our scuba kit ready for Kingsbury ranges tomorrow. Now we're relaxing with a decent glass of shiraz and wondering what bangsticks you oomans are preparing for the morrow...

Re: So, come the morrow...
Well oomans, 'twas like this...
The wind was gusting between 19 and 32 mph, pretty restless too: first from the left, then straight up towards the firing points, then from the right, changing its direction quicker than a Lib Dem with a sniff of power. The rain held off, just a few odd spots every now and again that the wind quickly chased away. We started at 300 yards and the AIA began to clock up the strikes. Not tight groups as the wind was playing havoc but definitely minute of goblin. After an hour we got the signal from the neighbouring army unit that they were happy for us to move back to 500 yards (200 mil rule invoked) and so we did.
Boy, was that fun. Military surplus 122 gn 7.62x39 ball from a carbine into the teeth of a gale !
The groups widened and the v bulls became fewer, and two ex 95 shots actually missed the board completely - one a few inches left and t'other almost a foot right ! Still, some omans with far blattier* guns were missing more often... :shifty:
Yup. Awesome fun...
*blattier. Big, expensive cannon with Zeiss on top

500 yards with 7,72x39 is always going to be a bit of a challenge in such conditions. Where are the pictures?
