One advantage of our Forum

Meeting other forummers.
I was out with the Mad Serb this morning and fired a few shots with my 7mm
I was cold, wet and getting fed up.
Then this fellow turns up ( a complete stranger to me, I thought) with coffee and doughnuts for all.
He hands me a coffee and says "Hello John (my name was on my fleece so no surprise there) then he says "Did you ever find your bolt?"
It was Eagernoskills, Tim; who is now, partly through the forum, a new mate (especially if he is going to be a regular doughnut and coffee walla!)
Nice to meet you Tim, and thanks for the very welcome nose bag.

Mind you, there's a lot of "cold, wet & fed-up" people on the ranges.

Something I've enjoyed is the kindness of fellow forum members. Many have been kind enough to send me, without accepting any payment, bits of equipment that I've been able to give to my son who is just starting out in his shooting. I've been touched by the acts of kindness shown. Similarly I've benefited from a great deal of advice; often provided in long and detailed PMs which must have taken much time and thought to produce.
I do appreciate it and thank everyone.

Christel and I tend to lead a fairly quiet life really, we enjoy each others company and have always been happy like that so it is quite strange just how many forum members have visited us or we have met up with over the last couple of years at various venues and shoots and without doubt every single forum member we have met has been a good and pleasant person to spend time with. I genuinely feel we have made some new friends and that is not a term I use very often.
