Another Customs Question... Sorry

Hi all

Sorry, I know you're all probably sick of these customs questions, but if I may ask, for those that have been to US-land and back;

Can I buy bullets (heads) and cases out in the US and simply bring them back through customs without any problems? Do I need to sign custom forms or anything like that?

I would have thought "no, I don't", but thought I'd ask.

Regards
T

I'd be interested to know the answer too. I've brought reloading equipment and shot shell wads back before now but never bullets or cases. As I'm going out there in a few weeks it could be tempting to pick a few bits up.

I suppose bringing powder back is out of the question without additional hassle?

Almost everyone says you can't due to the current legislation on export controls, but, and it's a big but, I've had no problem bringing back bullet heads, brass cases, reloading presses/equipment and scopes for the last 2 years, I have an email from the Operational Manager of the TSA stating that it's OK to pack these in your hold luggage and advises that scopes be placed in hand luggage to avoid damage.

Only things I've had removed from cases are some liquid cleaners and spray lube which was odd as we've brought it back before.
