Took some of my rifles for a shoot today. At 100yds with my 303 I put 13 shots into a 3 inch group. At 74+ with dodgy peepers I thought
damn good for me. Doubt if I could do it again.

There's always someone in front and you can never go quick enough for the one behind. Ronboy

That is some handy shooting Ronboy, both from you and the rifle :good:

If that was me I would have saved the target or taken a picture.

What ammunition were you using? MkVII or home loads, and if the latter, what cocktail?

Good shooting, that man!

How do you know how old your rifle is?

When's its birthday?

Hi Dave 101, ha ha I think me I have no idea as to the age of my rifle. A while ago a guy who seemed to know about enfields told me the rifle was used in Korea, thats the best I can say. Incidently I thought I had taken a photo with my phone camera of the target but when I got home it was blank. I've been shooting since 9 and have not stopped, still get a buzz when I go.

Does it have any markings on the left hand side of the receiver, Ron? Something like "7/49 PF" then the serial number would mean it was made in July 1949 in the ROF Fazakerly. Hope that helps!
