Just found out the ticket prices for this years Gamefair at Belvoir castle.
Adult
Friday £29 on gate. £26 advance. £23 cla members
Sat/sun £24 on gate. £21 advance. £19 cla members
2/3 day tickets add £18 for each additional day
Tickets on sale mid March
We were going to go for 2 days but it seems a bit steep!! Is it normally this expensive?
We made an attempt to go about 5 years ago when it was in Leeds but it was cancelled, which we didn't know about till we were virtually there due to not seeing tv for the week before due to house renovations.

That is about the same as last year!
At least there is no extra charge for car parking and there is a reasonable car park to entrance shuttle service.
If you get a single day and decide you want the second, it is easy enough to but an extension when there. Also, look in the Telegraph as there are often £5 off or £10 off for a family type vouchers published.

The emphasis is heavily on the "fair" now, surprised it isn't spelt "Fayre" ! A lot of garden stuff in the last couple of years.
Too much to see in one day, but a great place to pick up bargains, although choosing next winters' coat in 70 odd degees is rather difficult. It is a day out, lots to see. It really is the window on our world for many, although not a great lot on fullbore or target shooting. There are a lot of sporting holiday outfitters now, good sporting art, lots of very nice old sporting guns to drool over. Just about everything you could want to have a look at.
I have done the last 15 or so, and shall be there again for all 3 days on the CA stand talking drivel. Sorry, I meant working terriers.
I always felt it was a lot to pay to be allowed to go shopping, but that it a very small view to take, in all honesty.
If you go, and you are passing, say hello. I am the good looking one.

You're having a laugh. The days of bargains are long gone.
Its grossly overpriced, the dealers have to pay a premium for the stall sites and therefore pass the prices on and it's more country pursuits now. There will be a gun row but it'll be 90% shotguns. However the guns and shooting stuff is far outweighed by the amount of clothes stalls, yuppy food and fishing tackle stalls.

As someone who fishes too, I can say that at the CLA Game Fair - the number of shooting stands is probably at least twice that of the fishing and it certainly takes a lot longer to walk round "Gunmakers Row" than the fishing zone.

I can understand taking longer to ogle all the lovely guns (we all do that), but less fishing stuff? Aye right!
They'll print the maps soon enough in the shooting mags. You pays your money .................
