I can't help taking a camera to places I go and I took some photos at Newark on Saturday, mostly candid, mostly things which caught my eye so if they tell you anything about me they tell you how some of my brain works, when it has little to think about. Anyway, enjoy

For the techno geeks I used a Canon EOS 1D MkII and a Canon 70-200 f4 L IS lens, shooting mostly ISO 500. (This was one time when the f2.8 version of the lens would have been very handy to cope with the limited light.)

Is that the straight pull full bore rifle from Finland maybe? I will think of the name in a minute or two.

Just read the review to which you kindly pointed. I'm afraid that "The accuracy was incredible, and the barrel shot minute groups at 100 yards." doesn't make me jump up and down and either reflects that the writer doesn't do much rifle shooting, or this was one of those "If we offend the importer we'll never get another rifle to test or another freebie trip to some foreign firearms factory" cosy magazine articles which don't help anyone.

tikka I think your photos show how busy it was. Maybe the move to Stoneleigh will make things better

"All the three shot groups were below 0.4in at 100 yards, which is superb, and at 200 yards five shots clustered into less than 0.75in." Sounds a little bit better than minute of angle to me.
