Ruger Mini 14

Picked up this used Mini 14 in .223 this week and took it to the range today. The muzzle brake is pretty strange looking but definitely works and adds some nice weight to the muzzle. I burned through a bunch of factory and reloaded ball rounds pretty quickly. Not the most accurate rifle I own but it is fun. As the barrel heats up the groups expand quickly. the most recent Mini 14s have a heavier barrel and are more accurate, cold or hot barrel.

Now I like that.....
I have a UK spec Mini 14 and I'm getting some nice results with it. So far, got it shooting into an inch and a half at 100m. Have you heard of the Mo-Rod? It seems to work in helping accurise the Mini....
Here's a thread on mine.

Nice job on your rifle. Glad to see Ruger is helping out the shooters in the UK. When old Bill Ruger was running the place he pretty much did as he pleased, marketplace and shooters be damned. Now Ruger is more interested in meeting the needs of the shooters. I've seen the 'Accu-strut' same idea as the Mo-Rod. Everyone says it tightens up the groups when the barrel is hot, so I will need to invest in one.
