What is the difference between moly coated bullets and ones with lubalox exterior coating?

Moly is a powder coating
Lubalox is a wax-type coating

Yeah wax instead of moly and because of that I would think less fouling of the barrel?

So Lubalox is the same as the black talon coating? Well I have heard of black talon but had no idea how they did it. I am not convinced an oxide coating on copper is going to reduce copper fouling though, and moly is used to reduce friction and accordingly pressure, or allow you to put more powder of a give type in for the same MV and pressure.

What is Lubalox?
Lubalox® is the trade name Winchester uses to describe a black oxide process. It is a very thin oxide bullet coating, often compared to the bluing on a steel firearm.
What are the benefits of Lubalox?
The primary benefit of Lubalox is reduced barrel fouling. The process creates a surface on the bullet jacket, which increases the amount of shots possible between cleanings. Unlike moly-coated bullets, Lubalox-coated bullets leave the barrel residue-free and do not require barrel “seasoning”. Additionally, unlike uncoated bullets that tarnish over time, Lubalox protects the surface of the bullet jacket, keeping it looking like new.
A few places online does say it is a wax coating. Wiki says that it is not. It is not
Not sure how it is applied?
Surely less fouling of the barrel than with moly?
