Just recently I have come to terms with my age and have decided that I am going to curtail some of my shooting interests Longer range shooting mainly I was shooting alongside a chap today who expressed an interest in buying my Blaser LRS2 (with .308 Barrel) the barrel is little used, I prefer to use my 6.5x55 se Barrel.

It occurred to me that I have no idea at what would be a fair price to ask. The rifle was bought by me new in 2004. So what by a percentage of the cost of a new rifle would it be reasonable to ask?

Similarly I have a Nightforce NXS 5.5x55x56 That I might wish to sell any ideas on what would be a reasonable price to ask.

Any advise would be gratefully received.

I can offer a crisp unused ten shilling note for the scope...as long as you cover Recorded postage

Seriously - have a general browse on the gun trader sites, and the online sites for the bigger shops, etc. to see what prices other folk are asking.
I NEVER judge a gun by the age, purely on condition!

That said, I up my offer on the scope to a full guinea - cash!!

ive seen a spare blaser barrel go for 1000 recently , depends on shot count etc

the nightforce is in the region of 800-900 depending on reticle as the np2dd is the more desrable and more sort after
