Hi Guys.
I am not new to reloading but, have never used a bullet puller.
Thinking that I should have one but what to go for.
I fancy the Hornady Cam lok and have already bought a 6.5 collet on another forum.
I also shoot 7.62 P14 AND 357 MAG Marlin 1894.
Should I go for complete set of another make or look for Hornady?

Hi Bryan, I use the Hornady cam lock as well, I found it could mark the bullet when it gripped so I rounded the exit of the cam lock out very slightly with a Dremel type tool, also the .308 fits .284 (7mm) The reason I went for Hornady was it was the only one stocked with all the collets I needed and it works well.

I would keep looking for Hornady, Oxford Reloading solutions hold the collet inserts in stock and from memory they wer reasonable priced (For reloading stuff!)

I also use the Hornady Cam-Lock, actually got two of them permanently set up in my turret presses. I've found them very effective and I've pulled thousands of rounds of Milsurp 5.56 & 7.62 with them. Mine came from Hannam's reloading.

I use the Hornady myself and also recommend it to customers of mine seeking a collet type bullet/boolit puller.

Then only problems I've had from customers with it stemmed from improper use, so be sure to read and understand the instructions. Sounds obvious I know but you'd be surprised at the red faces I've had with people returning a "broken" puller which was "fixed" by the simple expedient of learning how to use it, as per the instructions.

Midwayuk are showing out of stock and reloading solutions site is not much help at all.
Obviously I can phone RS and know that they would be very helpful but, it is easy to get carried away and order too much stuf. We are in recession afterall.
Unfortunately a lot of websites passed me over to Hornady in the USA and they can't send such items to UK.
I am not desperate so will wait and try for second hand.

They are probably the best source for Hornady kit - normally have most items in stock

I use a RCBS collet puller and its fine. I have collets for every caliber of rifle I own bought it of Eblag years ago bought the collets of there as well for very litle money but ilike I said it was several years ago.
