I have 2 Rambo styled hunting knives complete with compass and other various survival items in the handle, which i bought from ebay about 5 yrs ago... my question is, can i carry it or not whilst out in the field or even camping

To the best of my knowledge 'Yes' (I certainly do with legitimate reason when stalking) .....BUT be wary of leaving them in bags or car at other times.

Could you find a use for them whilst out in the field?

well you could even argue that you could cut the line on your fishing rod if it was snagged, it could free sheep if they where cought in wire ect...... are these decent answers if stopped by police??

Salut,
Unless they are Chris Reeve's ones I'd go back to e-bay and sell them on

Nope. It's not a fishing knife, you don't own the sheep so you'd likely get done for the knife and messing with the livestock.

Sim,
What would your reaction be if you saw someone struggling with one of your sheep and with a bloody big numpty rambo knife in his grip?
I can only grin when contemplating the reaction i'd get from the sheep farmers up here!

As I said above, you're right, but I guess I assumed ( I know, my mistake ), that someone else would be trying to help said sheep, whereas back in the real world... you know the rest.
Guess I'd be out with me raspberry, videoing the "little darling", then maybe calling plod!
What a world!!!
