Given the interest when one came up for sale on F-B and when mentioned on other sites, is there not an engineer out there who could devise something similar at a reasonable price ???

There is nothing sophisticated about the design but it would be time consuming to make them as individual units. I have a slowly increasing pile of bits here that will be a press at some point....

I have been looking at a 1950s vintage CH "H" press which is mounted flat on the bench and that I think is much more handy to use in a confined space (like my shed)...
I did mount my first Bonanza press on a timber frame that elevated it in such a way as to be able to be used on a table top and made it portable. I even used to take it to the range to reload my Martini Henry rounds.

I must admit it would be nice to build a 'good' reloading press, I am sure there is scope for improvement with the majority of the current offerings.

LOL - as the viking stated, "Great minds think alike."
I'm currently creating CAD drawings for a gunsmith who intends to offer something similar. He's got a little engineering shop lined up to make an initial batch run.

Now you know that's not going to happen. It's his design; i'm merely creating the CAD files for the CAM manufacturing.
