I cant make up my mind of I like these kind of stocks. They are pig ugly to look at but then once your cheek is on the comb you dont see em.
Do they feel any different to shoot? (That might be a really stupid question...)

I like the style and would like to see how they feel to shoot, the advantage is they can be tailored to fit the shooter very accurately with the myriad of adjustments available.
I was trying to get an Eliseo over to the UK but at over GBP1000 it is pricey. The alternative is to build the chassis system from scratch and as I doubt the Viking is up for me playing with her rifle the only one that really fits the bill is one of the AI's. As they bolt to a chassis system actually fitting them to a new chassis is relatively simple and I have been thinking about this for ages.....

Get your engineer head on and build a rifle, you know you wanna! Summit like what you'd imagine the love child between a DTA and an SGC speedmaster would look like would be awesome! Just don't make it look all chavy with stoopid rails and stuff everywhere!

You are right Michael, it needs doing and nice and sleek, I would use an AR type pistol grip adjustable for angle and offset plus stock that could be adjusted for height of cheek and length of pull. it would be a nice project to both design and build. For other than the AI bolt down system I would be tempted to use a V Type bedding block with inserts.
Right..... who wants one???

Dave Wylde of Valkyrie rifles is building me a 6mm SLR on an XLR stock....will let you know how it goes.

How about a bullpup a la DTA?
Dont like the forend. A rail system would suit but these type of rifles don't suit long barrels hence the length advantages of a.bullpup.

K, here's what I'd build if I had any skills. You've obviously got to take into account my inexperience and also the fact I've said things just to make it different and add to the engineering challenge. I'll let you decide which bits go in which category....
A magazine fed straight pull rifle in a bullpup configuration in .308. Left hand cocking mechanism with right hand side ejection. Probs summit like a 24 inch barrel. As per the OP, something that can be configured for different shooters. I like your idea about using the AR type pistol grip. Something with a comfortable foregrip so off hand shooting isn't a chore. It would also be cool if an integral bipod could be configured so that it folds up out of the way so when it's stowed it doesn't hang down like a set of snagtastic balls haha!
Feel free to poke holes in my ideas, I'd be interested in hearing criticism in what I think would be the perfect rifle for me! (no sarcasm there by the way if it sounds like it!)
