Full length sizing

I'm going to be loading two new calibers this year (6.5 and 308) - So have ordered some dies and the necessary components - the 6.5 is going to be from new brass, and the 308 from brass fired in another rifle - so I will be full lenth sizing for the first time (have been neck sizing only on my .303)...

...I've got most of the usual reloading tools, so will be getting some lube (Imperial has been mentioned many times so will try it), and a de-burrring tool for the new brass...

...But what have I fogotten :-P - Is there anything else extra that I'll need for full lenth sizing?

a trimming tool, you will have to go a long way to find a simpler one than the Lee (link for ident purposes) the Lee case lube works well for me as well. there are lots of other options as well I just find Lee cost effective and workable.

Due to setting for 2 new calibers I'm already over budget - so the cheep and cheerful Lee solution will do nicely for now

OK - Silly question time (just to be sure) - You trim the cases after you've sized them...right?

I've just come across a new trimmer for the first time. It looks like it offers many of the benefits of the legendary Giraud trimmer, but without the price tag or the wait. Unfortunately it doesn't quite match the Giraud, in that it doesn't chamfer while trimming, but at a fraction of the price you can't complain. The Lee is great for the price, but if you continue FL sizing then anything that makes trimming easier will be welcome if you process any kind of volume.

That does look good, but at the moment the plan is to neck size for the Mauser after the new brass (don't intend using milsurp, so will have to top up the brass from time to time) has been once fired, and I'm assuming that there'll be plenty of tollerance in the old chamber....

However I'm not sure with the .308 - As you're a TR shooter, may I ask: Do you full or neck size for your TR rifle?....I've got 500 once fired RUAG cases shot in another rifle (thus the full sizing) - I'll be attempting to produce a practice round tha'st as close to the perfomance of the RUAG as possible...so would it be better to always full size these...?

I think this trimmer is cartridge specific so if you load more than one caliber you would need one for each caliber it would end up costing you a lot of dosh.

I really like the Lee trimmer when used in conjunction with a cordless drill.
I have one of the Forster lathe type trimmers but it is nowhere near as consistent & fast as the Lee.
