Baffle-tastic! What make/model/calibre is that?

That looks like one of the old Parker Hale .22 mods .

Its a rimfire Parker Hale. My problem is that I'm not sure I've put it back together properly!

Its a Parker-Hale MM2

Looks to be ok - it's how I put mine back together! :)

Have an old pre-war PH leaflet for the moderators - very interesting reading - as they did full bore & shotgun ones as well, plus a good selection of threaded adaptors to attach to rifle/pistol barrels - so you could silence them without the need to have them threaded

I have seen in 1960's a strange P&H compensator with no baffles in it, just
a snorkel tube pointing back into the can. No matter where I search
I cannot find any reference to it. From the outside it had the P&H stamps
and dimensions.

Does anyone have any details?

*Astounded*

I can't believe how inefficient that design is ! In fact, parts of it look as though they will increase sound transmission at certain frequencies.

...possibly a home repair that someone attempted after losing the baffles?

Any chance of pics of it?

Is that a typical silencer, or a cheap, bottom of the range one?

I saw it at an arms importer's display. It was not a chopped up home
job because the snorkel was machined integral with the front
cap and anodized shiny.

We need Hercule Poirot's help. :)
