I need to calculate the dimensions for a 12 slot external Geneva drive with a wheel 150mm diameter and then mark out a lump of aluminium for machining, and then set it all up on a rotary table on a mill to do the job.

So what are you guys up to with the 'pin gauge' thing (saw you were looking for digital tyre gauges) :-P - is this to do with measuring the depth of a pin strike on a primer? (if so I have some questions...)

Nope, you use a gauge to measure firing pin protrusion, the tyre gauges are for something else that I want to build.
