Autumn Action Weekend

Popped over to Bisley this morning to buy some ammunition and was struck by how quiet the AAW appeared to be.
To be fair I did not go up to the Melville where most of the action would have been but I did drive down to Short Siberia and found the rest of the range almost deserted.

Anyone disagree?

The shot gunners were finished on sat, maqueens any rifle etc finished by 11 on sunday i think, entries were down some 20% on last year, the trafalgar had almost the same as last year.

Melville on our ro day on friday was sparse to say the least....and we were all gone by 3-4pm.

Sat and sunday ide say the numbers were noticeably down, but most of the regular faces were there.....and its traditionally the least well attended.....it was nice to get away at 3pm sunday though........cant wait to see the results!!!

All the ro's and event staff did a great job and all ran well, the food was great in the army target shooting club as was the fireworks!! And the camaradire between the gr comnunity is always a welcoming distraction to my working life.....so germany in a few weeks for a few,for others its keeping our eye in untill the next event...
