I’m a newbie here, and have a question about books….
I have a copy of the ‘Home Machinists Bedside Reader’ … in it are several references to another book, the ‘Gunsmith Kinks’ series, which I think runs to four volumes.
Does anyone have any experience with these books??
Many thanks in advance, Flatline

gunsmith kinks are a series of books by Brownells (the US gun parts and tools supplier) full of really good tips from actual gunsmiths.

Many thanks… I was ‘watching’ on eBay this morning & ended up buying volumes 1,2 & 3.. should be along by the end of the week… just need to find vol. 4 as I believe it holds some sort of ‘index’ for the first 3…

Hi Flatline I noticed in your previous thread you state you have a Myford lathe if this is your only lathe you will be limited to any gun turning stuff you are limited by the size of the hole in your headstock. If you want to work on firearms barrels etc you need to be able to hold up to 35mm in your chuck. (Don't ask me how I know this.)
They will be an interesting read but unless you upgrade your lathe not a lot of use to you.
