I, like other Bisley residents, have just received a supplementary letter about camp security. The guards are going to wear pink and carry weighted handbags as befits their title.

There are some significant changes which result from the huge amount of petty pilfering which goes on, and the large number of people who use the camp as a dog walking ground (I turned away a professional, cones, van the lot, away from Stickledown a few weeks ago) and somewhere to dump their rubbish.

The suited locks have all but disappeared causing minor inconvenience to some but for the good of the majority. If you need a key, you'll get it, on signature, and be required to return it.

'We' have received some fifty responses to the first letter, including one negative one.

If you have any comment or suggestion, Derrick Mabbott, the acting CEO will be pleased to hear from you. An email to <info@nra.org.ok> or to me, will find it's way to him.

If you don't like the changes then all I can say officially is:

"Sorry for the inconvenience but it is a necessary evil fro the benefit of the camp as a whole"

My personal and unofficial answer is :

"Not before time and if you don't like it (Full answer moderated at source)

I lied about the uniform, it will be black so you can't see him sneaking up behind you if your'e up to no good. I'm trying to persuade the trustees to arm him with a twelve guage loaded with buckshot instead of the handbag but I'm not having much joy. ;)

I mentioned to my other half that we should start a rumour about the security being armed

We can't give him a long barreled pistol if they are going to be banned!

  - Took me a second read to get that

I remember when we shot the cadets meeting in the mid 80's, that the Gurkas did the night patrols carrying pick axe handles...they looked mean, and were very effective :good:

It also took a double look from me, for one 'interesting' moment I thought you had shot some cadets

Gurkha’s with pick axe handles has to be the way forward, and not just for Bisley :goodjob:
