I also missed out on a Ross Mk3 at the Trafalgar Meeting arms fair in 2018. I was looking round on the Friday afternoon and saw the rifle on the stand but the vendor was busy setting up his pitch so I didn't want to pester him when he was busy. It was priced at £875. I was back at his stand at 8.30 the Saturday morning but it already had a sold sticker on it. I did buy a Ross Mk3 the following year from a club member for £750 so I did get one, unlike the Swedish Mauser carbine M94 that I never did get.
Regards
Peter.

My Steyr AUG. The cost bounced around crazily, I got mine new for £1250ish, but at one point they went down to £800ish and then they went all the way up to £1700 when still available. 2nd hand ones are usually on there thicker end of the spectrum

I've never shot a quieter fullbore rifle when fitted with a Wildcat Predator 8. Somehow it was hearing safe at under 120db :o Mine was about a 1.5MOA gun but I only ever used it with a 4x ACOG scope, it was probably a bit tighter with more magnification. Because of the weight balance you could hold it in the shoulder all day long. Lovely bit of kit if you like modern rifles.

I was offered a cased, all original Accuracy International L96 complete with correct Schmidt and Bender 6x42 scope. At the time it was £5k which I didn’t have. I dread to think what it would have been worth now.
Biggest selling regret, my 1972 Ford Escort AVO Mexico which I sold for £2000 (it was a long time ago) they go for about £30,000 now.
Just need to invent a Time Machine!!!!
I enjoy my shooting but usually get a better group with the empty cases !!!!
