Tsc vs edgar bros 1911 lbp

24" and less, a place to discuss all things handgun related, section 7.3. Long barrelled revolvers, long barrelled pistols and section 5. Overseas contributions are more than welcome.

Hiya, could anyone tell me how to differentiate between the tsc 1911 or the edgar bros more sturdy 1911 lbp? Apart from the obvious tsc written on them?

The TSC was the first version of the GSG that is now well known. Its almost identical apart from the extension rod and the 'mag well' type extension on the frame that the rod fixes to. I have an early TSC and it shoots well but like so many other .22 semis they do take some fettling. If you can find one that is in good nick at a reasonable price, and then get it accurised by M9 Engineering (find on FB) I would say its a good LBP.

TSC has a slim stainless rod with small counterweight as the length maker upper. slides were hand fitted and I think the colour of slide vs frame is slightly off

GSG is a side black rod. comes in 3 or 4 colours. plastic sights. comes with a case. cheap enough that you may as well buy new.
