35 WCF - brass or reform.

I am looking for any info on the 35 WCF (not load data), brass availability and reforming.

Some digging seem to suggest possible donor cases being 30-40 Krage (seems too short to me) and .405 WCF (also seem impossible to find).

I do quite a bit of reforming for obsolete stuff, and while the 35WCF is not on obsolete list so far this is the hardest cartridge to date for information on making. Maybe it's just really unpopular and I perhaps avoid....!!

Any pointers or suggestions?

Is this what you are looking for?

35 Winchester

or this might do

405 Winchester

I think they are the same cases you're looking for.

The .405” Winchester can also be made from 9.3x74R cases, RCBS make a die to do this, so this might be another route to try, make these first then convert these to 35 WCF.

I have 100 once fired .405” Win cases converted from 9.3x74R available if you wanted to try that route, £45 posted to UK mainland.

Thanks, will have a look at 9.3x74R see if I can make from that or re-form to .405 and start there!!

Thanks, know of Bertram - very expensive. Looking at making them from something else.
