Paint question

Can anybody recommend a paint i can use to repaint my No32 mk3 scope, seen several references to Suncorite as the original and best but believe thats no longer available due to Health and Safety issue.
Heard people mention Barbecue paints, engine enamels and brake component paints but i suspect these require curing by heat, not advisable on a scope, want something a bit hard wearing, any advise would be welcome.

I have used a paint called Aluma-Hyde II from Brownells before. That worked well enough.

If you google " Frost auto restoration " then on their site search for Eastwood chassis black paint, I think this will give a "no heat" finish that you require.

Hi
Thanks for the replys, just got them to post a copy of there latest Frosts catalogue, they seem to have an impressive range of paints, some are a bit too expensive for me but i am going to try a semi gloss chassis black, or engine accessory black both sound hard wearing enough as long as there not too glossy which wouldn't look right on an old military scope.
Will ring em after the Christmas break and see what they recommend.
Cheers for the heads up.

I’ve had a few of mine cerakoted, it’s probably the most durable finish there is but unfortunately not something you can really do at home of your own but I can certainly point you in the right direction

I would certainly be interested in recommendations for Cerakote providers. I have the worlds ugliest M&P 15-22 in dire need of a tidy up!!

Did The Tunnel do a Cerakote job for you, or was it an alternative paint job?
