Well got my very beloved MH out the cabinet for an admire as i thought i may cast up some more bullets, and found a crack in the stock.
It turned out to worse than I thought, I am gutted.

Do I attempt this myself, or find someone more experienced.

She is a BSA MKIII, and dream to own and shoot.

No replacements online at all.

Why not? Epoxy resin. Fitbit together carefully after applying the resin an then tape it up tightly until securely set. It will probably be stronger than it was when new.

It is my plan, but wanted to.seek advice before I go for it.

It is repairable with epoxy although you may have to refinish the wood after removing excess glue. The wood looks nice and dry and not too oily and this will help the resin bond.
Most of the ex Nepal Martini rifles imported from the US now have severely damaged stocks and split wrists. I have repaired a few by splicing walnut into the splits and these have held up well in use over the last few years. Remember to take care not to let too much resin get into the bolt channel or you won't get the stock bolt in.

Thank you, it has taken some effort to back out the stock bolt. It was in there tight.
Have cleaned up damaged area to remove most of the oil.
I have to do this old girl some justice, as it is most enjoyable rifle I have.

How did it go? May know of a MKIV forestock you could affect a repair from it?

It has been repaired, be a while before I get to shoot it. I had to remove some wood and replace it.
I will try and post a picture of the final repair.

Can see the replaced part, used a very hard wood, it was the only way to save it and preserve the original look from the outside.
Only if you know where the split can it be seen.
