FAC renewal

#1 Post by Alpha1 »

My licencing people contacted me and reminded me that one of my certificates is due for re newal in December and advised me to start the renewal process.
This is the first time I have been required to obtain a copy of my Medical records from my GP so after reading all the horror stories I was a bit concerned as to how this was going to go.
I down loaded the form filled my bits in then drove to my Doctors. I approached the girl behind the counter explained what I wanted then held my breath.
Just a second she said I just need to make a phone call she dialed the number and said are we still doing fire arm renews.
She put the phone down and said yes thats fine leave it with us we will sort it out and let you know how much you need to pay we will probably text you.
Job done. If I had got any chew to be honest I would not of bothered to re new. Shooting is way down on my list of priorities these days.

Are you under Durham or Cleveland? Durham are saying 10 months but in reality it's more like 12-14 months. And the reason is ........... Covid! troutslapping

My GP practice list it with the other things they charge for. Wasn't a problem.

The Receptionist didn't know. Do they give you a copy or send it of to the Plod.

I was the first in my force… £30 and two days from hand in to GP to hand back to FLD.

Before anyone asks, Wiltshire.

My surgery charged £18 and I got it back in a few days. I picked it up, scanned it and sent it in with my renewal. Its a literal tick box exercise 12-14 boxes IIRC troutslapping
