I was at Kranks about a year ago talking to a member of staff about No4ts when he mentioned he had (sold on) an ex police force Enforcer, he produced a list of known surviving rifles which had the police forces they were issued to marked alongside, think he said his was ex Durham police.
He must have got the list from some source although it had nothing like the 500 or so that must have survived and got sold onto the civilian market, yours might have been on that list but somebody had started to collect the data if you can only find out who that was they my be able to help you.
I dont know if they were issued in consecutive serial number order to police would mame it easier to trace i think.
Good luck in your search.

Asking on this thread may provide your answer. There are recent ish posts so it is still active I think. I have not searched for your number on the existing thread, it may have been asked about before.

There used to be a website for recording the whereabouts of these ex-police Enfields run by a member of our Club but he's no longer a member so don't know if the website still exists. You could try Googling.

I have compiled quite an extensive list but I do not have 327 listed
