I am sure I will sort it out eventuality but its not a priority at the moment I have other stuff I need to sort out. The loss of a underlever rifle is not the end of the world.

I slugged the bore yes its worn but that does not explain the sudden drop off in accuracy.
I have got lazy and have been using bought cast bullets I bought a bucket load of hard cast bullets in .358 semi wad cutters at the last Harrogate shooting show they are destinated for the scrap bin.
I will melt them down along with probably £150 worth of hard cast bullets that just dont work in my Winchester.
I will never again buy cast bullets. I will cast my own because they just work.

I cast a 158gn round nosed flat top bullet in pure lead, lubed with Alox. I add a pinch of Unique for gallery rounds in my .357 Winchester. Accurate, no leading, cheap.

I shot this yesterday - 10 rounds at 20 yards, standing. .357 Winchester 96ae

Try Lothar Walthar, they did me a nice 38/357 barrel to sleeve a lever action shotgun and it wasn't too expensive.
The first one on my search of their sight is 600mm+ long.
FILTER THESE RESULTS FOR 38/357

Haha the dreaded lifter that breaks just by looking at it lol
I’ve had both the lifter and ejector break on me, managed to get aftermarket stainless replacements it the rifle has never been the same since

Give James a call at Jager Sporting Arms, I’m sure he’ll be able to supply (and fit if needed) a barrel or just a blank.
He a top bloke and does exception work
