Rossi R92 rear adjustable rear sight

#1 Post by Blighty »

Just bought a Rossi R92 in .44 magnum and as lovely as it is my eyes don’t like the buckhorn rear sight.

So….

Does anyone have an adjustable aftermarket rear sight that would fit for sale?

I would recommend a Skinner sight, which is a peep sight that is a straight swap for the buck horn.
I had one on a Rossi and now have them on my 1860 and 1866.

They are adjustable for windage, and elevation as the peep can be moved up or down.
Also there is the option of different appatures.
I shoot with these from 25 to 100 yards.

I have never got on with Buckhorn sights and these work for me, I had a williams on a 10/22 and that was brill.

Just an option for consideration.

i bought a bullseye style rear sight for mine, like the buckhorn setup, but it's 2 concentric circles. this was 10 years ago at least. I think it was from stevegunz in the US, not sure they're even still going

Thanks all.

Does anyone have anything that they don’t need anymore?

If you think you are a person of some importance, try ordering someone else's dog around.

I fitted a Lyman tang sight to my Rossi Mod92 and found the longer sight radius was beneficial.

I can second the quality of the Skinner sights.

I have bought sites for my Uberti lever gun and a picatinny rail to mount a scout scope for my Rossi 92 from them.

Both items arrived within a week from the USA, fully tracked.
