Bisley Live

#1 Post by HeatherW762 »

Wow, what a day we've had. Glorious sunshine and, so we've been told, 2000 visitors. Not too bad for a first show on a Friday!

However, my feet hurt already and still got two days to go.......

There should be a lot more people around for the next two days - here's hoping :good: :good:

2000 on a Friday has to be a good start for first event/day. The weekend weather reports are good as well so fingers crossed for you all.

You too. We had a great time and picked up a lot of members however my feet hate me now :( :(

Lots of lessons learnt for next year - I hope - all we need is to have great weather again.......

Strangely the weather actually kept me a way this year! With two toddlers / infants I could not face the thought of dragging them round in the heat - although with the free entry for children I was almost tempted.

Are there any final figures for numbers through the doors, and have those that exhibited given any sign of how well they did and if they would return?

Well done,

The organisers reckoned we had around 9,000 through the gates but final figures still to be announced.

We had mixed comments from exhibitors, good and bad. It seems that people were quite focussed and were ther to buy specific stuff not just browsing. So lots of guns, targetry type stuff, etc sold but not so good on the fancy goods side. Personally I think £600 is quite a lot for a fur hat!!
