If anyone recieved an email from the NRA yesterday , fri 20th jan, concerning their RCO test, ignore it.

I received an email from Jennifer Ansell (nra) telling me to ignore it as they had a bug in the system sending out a lot of wrong emails.

I got four emails in 5 minutes regarding my RCO test in 2020. I just deleted them.

Three neonicotinoids (NNs) including thiamethoxam were banned for outdoor agricultural use in the UK and the EU in 2018 due to their devastating impact on bees.

Four contradicting emails in 5 minutes telling me I had passed the RCO renewal test then I had not passed the test to re new and the final one telling me and several of my members that our RCO qualifications are no longer valid.

Just been emailed to say that our qualified RCO's can no longer do the online renewal test without completing the online RSO test first.

Obviously this is the NRA making the world safer and not just a money grabbing exercise to get an extra £53 out of each RCO on top of the previous £10 charge for the RCO test.

So now you need to have an in-date RSO qualification which allows you to run civian ranges before you can have an RCO to run civilian shoots on MOD ranges even though the RCO covers everything the RSO does.

Bloody disgrace.

If that,s the case I wont be renewing next time round. Time for the Younger members to step up the Club paid for them to do the RSO and RCO courses time for pay back.

Unfortunatelly we dont have a choice Bisley is at the other end of the Country and run by the NRA. I would not go there if they paid me.
Living in the North East of England the only full bore ranges available to us are MOD ranges that insist that we use NRA trained RCO,s. If they did not insist on using NRA trained RCO,s there would be no point in doing the training that they are screwing Clubs for financialy.
