My Peltor / MSA ear muffs have seen better days - the wiring insulation has split and there is occasional 'crackling'.
May I ask what competition shooters here are using please. I need a slim / thin cup (?) for stock clearance. I also need electronic for range officer duties to hear what they're saying about me!! Gone are the days of 9mm cases
Any proven suggestions please?
Thank you
JohnG

My MSA Sordin defenders give me good service shooting full bore rifle and if in your position, I wouldn't hesitate to replace with like for like.

I use custom fit guard in-ears. No worries about stock clearance at all obviously. I use the passive valve ones so not electronic but I still hold a conversation fine and then they close off when a shot is fired. CFG do electronic ones as well though.

Peltor Sportac if wearing for longer periods (4hrs+) or MSA Sordin X if only wearing for short periods. Thats just my experience with the wear comfort which is obviously dependent on head and/or ear shape/size/position so not particularly relevant to anyone else....

3M (Peltor) do a repair service and were very helpful when I had wiring trouble with mine. Not expensive and very quick, also fitted a hygiene kit.
