I can not seem to find any form of guarantee on any uberti revolver and guess what, mines gone faulty after just 10 months of light use. No response from dealer of course which seems normal these days, OK I think I could fix it myself for the cost of the part, but should I ? Thoughts welcome please.???

You have the same statutory rights as with any other product. Don't forget though that your statutory warranty is with the shop you bought it from. It might be worth reminding them of their obligations under the law..

Isn't there a disclaimer about using home loaded ammunition? Have you always used factory or have used home loaded?

Its a black powder version...got messy inside the gun thats for sure.and wondered if that was a factor why guarantees are not mentioned.

After ten months the onus would be on you to show that the gun was faulty.

What exactly do you think is wrong? You say it's messy inside the gun, are you cleaning and maintaining it?

Its like a new pin on all the outside surfaces not so on the inside surfaces. a mixture of oil mix with burnt powder (black gunk) I only take it appart after around 100 rounds, but is always very dirty, I thought this could not be helped with black powder.? The 'trigger bolt spring' is broken on the bolt side..

Sounds like your cleaning regime is not up to scratch.
Unfortunately, black powder guns can be a right pain in the arris to keep clean in order to keep them functioning properly. It's no good just cleaning the outside and neglecting the internals.

Black powder residue will corrode anything, so if you are not taking it to bits after a session and cleaning, parts degrade. A spring won't have the ability to resist the corrosion, so will be a consumable on the gun
