Exactly the same as without it. Calibration starts with setting zero, so any variation in the balance pan weight is excluded.

Imagine if the balance pans all had to weigh exactly the same (to less than 1 mg in this case) - that would be a manufacturing nightmare. Then consider that the weight would change over time. Then consider extending that to 0.1mg balances.
You can calibrate just fine with a powder pot locator. I made my first pot locator from card and sellotape (It's still like that), then shortly after I showed video of it these fancy machines ones arrived.


Thanks... that's what I thought and your description makes perfect sense. Maybe you should have kept your pot locator video to yourself! :p

They do look nice... I'm pretty sure I'll buy a V4... :good:
