Does such a thing as a silenced 12 ga semi auto shotgun exist.

Saddlery & Gunroom now do their Hushpower as a detachable moderator fitted to a removable choke. It would go on a semi, but, which one would run reliably?

You'd have to use sub sonic ammo to get the full benefit and will a gas or inertia gun run best with those cartridges? And really, is the slamming of the action on a big semi not going to negate the sub sonic ammo through a mod?

There's reason no doubt why the Hushpower is either a single, O/U or pump gun...

The Atec A-12 can go on any* shotgun, pump, bolt, lever or semi. I believe there's a member on here that bought one that went on a Bora BR99 or similar.

The main problem with them, for me anyway, is that on a semi they will be adding 10-12" to an already preposterous 24" barrel (min). Could make more sense on a short barrelled lever or bolt gun, but otherwise i'd stick with an integrated moderator to keep the OAL down but i've only seen those on pumps and bolt guns, in this country anyway.

*any that takes the chokes it uses and has clearance for the expansion box.

There are hushpower barrels for semi autos floating around out there. They may not be worth the effort of searching for though.

I had a moderated Browning B80 semi about 7 years ago.

Wasn't particularly quiet, and didn't cycle 'factory' subsonic cartridges.
