Finally got it back!

24" and less, a place to discuss all things handgun related, section 7.3. Long barrelled revolvers, long barrelled pistols and section 5. Overseas contributions are more than welcome.

Finally got it back!

#1 Post by Steve12345 »

Hi all,

Just wanted to share some decent pictures of my Grandad's Colt now I have finally got it back and say thanks for all the advice of people on this forum who have helped me. I am really glad that it can stay in the family. I have no idea how this condition compares to other pistols this age or how original it is, so would be good if anyone is able to comment?

I will probably have some questions about storing at some point to make sure I preserve it as best as possible, but for now I am just glad it is back where it belongs.

Cheers

Thanks all, any issues with dry firing etc. or ok to do? I read mixed things over what will cause damage baring in mind it's age and don't want any original parts damaged ideally.

To be honest the Sten is back from NaBIS and just waiting for me to sort really. I guess at some point I will get it deactivated, just been more concentrating on the Colt for the time being, glad I didn't rush in to deac with it.
