Mauserbill,
That’s perhaps the nicest walnut stock I’ve seen on a Swedish Mauser.
You wouldn’t happen to know of another 1899 Oberndorf that’s for sale with a similar stock ??
How does your copy shoot now you have completed the conversion ??

Hello
That`s the only stock like that I have ever seen some are close but not a patch on mine.
1899 Obendorf Mausers are now quite rare as they were produced in limited number, until they were produced in Sweden by Carl Gustaf.
Bore of this rifle was excellent when purchased and it shoots really well at 100m that is the limit on my range.

Re: Swedish Mauser m41b clone sniper rifle
Could l ask did you bend the bolt handle yourself or is it a replacement bolt from an M38 ? And did you black the bolt only ?
Re: Swedish Mauser m41b clone sniper rifle
My M41b is an 1899 Obendorf, my stock isn’t as nice as yours though!!
I enjoy my shooting but usually get a better group with the empty cases !!!!

True It looks like a nice rifle and the cost reflects that. Maybe one for the future.Mauserbill wrote:Highwood classic arms have a very nice one all original with a really nice stock, only problem price is £2000Gundog wrote:If you come across another similar 1899 M96 rifle or indeed a correct M41/b would you please let me know.
