No. You can only shoot there as a member of your club and the secretary has to make the booking.

But if your club secretary books the range you can turn up on your own as a member the club and shoot.

Our Club secretary does not book ranges at Bisley the guy who organises our Competitions and trips to Bisley does it on the Clubs behalf. He is not the Secretary he is a committee member.

It doesn't have to be the secretary. The club can nominate anyone (or more than one) as authorised to make bookings on its behalf.

So to sum up, can an affiliated club member turn up on his own and shoot, as long as his club secretary/nominated person made the booking for him, and he holds a valid shooters card?

Actually no.

Even if you can make it out to be a properly constituted club shoot (which no one else wanted to attend), you still fall foul of Range Regulations:
38. An individual shooter may act as his own RO if he:

a. is shooting on Winans Bay C (Zero Range) or Winans Bay B when being used as a zero range alternate to Winans Bay C; or

b. is aged 18 or over, an individual member of the NRA and is shooting a deliberate supported or static discipline on a range other than Cheylesmore Bay B or Winans Bay A.
So, in summary, to shoot on your own you have to be an individual member.

Your hack doesn't work.

If there is 2 of you then you would both need to be members of the same affiliated club and have shooters cards .
