Your quote included all my message. Sorry for confusion.
No it didn't. I quoted only the line: "I am to see if it is a .308 or a 7.62 as I had both calibers rifles and I had collected separate cases for each caliber." (here)
To which you responded "How do I plan to do what?" (here).
User no longer exists... were they deleted or left from shame of being scammed?
I wanted to see if they went back to the original seller and questioned the description?!
Weird..........the guy who evidently sold it to our man here (on UKV?) was desperate to get rid of it, and was a bit cagey in his description, using the word "Remington" a couple of times.
A few, myself included, expressed some surprise at an old Sportco single shot target rifle blinged up with a tacticool stock.
Nevertheless, it's a shame if someone has had his trousers taken down by a fellow shooter.......

As an aside, the unwritten and sometime mandated rule of forums is, “don’t comment on a sales thread”.... but this is what happens when inexperienced buyers or tricky sellers, come together. I know of a few conversations that went around UKV concerning this rifle....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

£650, so at the end of the day, if it shoots, who really gives a s**t?
The reference to Remington came up, I think, in another discussion about the same rifle. Something to do with it having three lugs. I don't know anything about Remingtons........
