I have a pietta Remington 1858 black powder revolver. It is their "competition" model which I am looking to make a quick sale on. It has a 20cm barrel and 5 groove rifling. I picked it up with an intention to shoot more bp pistol but alas circumstances have changed and I have not really had the time to shoot it.

Looking for £550 i will throw in 100 .461 ball and 200 felt wads as well.

You can find more details on this webpage of this type of gun.

Rfd transfer can be organised at a cost. Alternatively pick up from bisley or collection would be preferable. I will be down for spring action weekend and live relatively close by if this is not convenient.

How does the 'Competition' Remington Army differ from the 'standard' Pietta?

Oops sorry for the delayed response. I have been away.

So from what i understand it has a longer barrel, takes a 461 ball and has some enhanced rifling. Check the web link for more details. It also has an adjustable front sight as opposed to the fixed sights of the originals.
